As pastor of the Gathering, A Christian Community, Sharon leads worship, teaches, counsels and, driven by a passion for social justice and is very active in city and interfaith activities. Prior to entering the ministry Sharon spent 17 years as Black and Decker's corporate headquarters, most recently and HRD manager for Power Tools.
Her community commitments include the Presidency of the Board of Directors of Maryland New Directions, membership on THE UMBC President's Advisory Committee, twenty years on the board and as script writer and Emcee for the Maryland You Are Beautiful program, the board of the Greater Homewood Interfaith Alliance, and membership in the Central Baltimore County Democratic Club.
Sharon holds an MA from the Ecumenical Institute at St. Mary's Seminary, a Certificate in Management from Goucher College, and a BA from Keuka College. She is married to Alex, a realtor, has three daughters and three grandbabies.
