19TH AMENDMENT PROJECT
The mission of our PAC to elect dynamic Democratic women to local and state offices in Maryland is a natural extension of the duty of every woman to acknowledge, respect and protect the power and importance of the 19th amendment, passed by Congress June 4, 1919 and ratified August 18, 1920:
Section 1:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.
Section 2:
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
The 19th Amendment gave us the right to vote and now inspires us to increase our presence and power in creating and sustaining policy and law for the good of our state, communities, and families.
We envision that our work and our website will foster an active community of well-informed, dynamic Democratic women through the written word. Check back soon for more information!
